A crown is a full cover over the tooth. The crown makes the tooth strong.
Crowns are ideal for broken or weakened teeth. Crowns may be made of porcelain or gold.
A dental crown could be used for:
- Discoloured fillings
- Improved appearance of teeth
- A root filled tooth which needs a crown to protect it
- Hold a bridge or denture firmly in place
In addition to dental implants, you can also replace missing teeth by a partial denture or fixed bridge.
A dental bridge “bridges” the gap created by one or more missing teeth. Bridges are usually made of a precious metal base.

- Improved appearance
- Improved bite for chewing
